Go Noosa aims to provide a relaxed and fun travelling experience for locals and visitors over the busy Christmas and Easter holiday periods.

Free Christmas and Easter Holiday Buses

Selected buses are free during the Queensland Christmas and Easter school holiday periods, including the popular 065 Go Noosa Loop Bus. 

2023/24 dates:

  • Christmas - from 9 December 2023 to 21 January 2024
  • Easter - from 29 March to 14 April 2024.
  • The 064 Peregian Beach to Noosa Heads service runs north every 60 minutes from 7:30am to 5:30pm and south from 8:00am to 6pm. Temporary route 064 will operate as normal on all public holidays.

    The route map below depicts main bus stops only. Buses will stop at all bus stops along the route as requested.

  • The 065 Go Noosa Loop Bus travels in a clockwise direction servicing Hastings Street, Noosa Drive, Weyba Road and Noosa Parade.

    The service operates approximately every 15 minutes from 7am - 7pm and every 30 minutes from 7pm-10pm. Temporary route 065 will operate as normal on all public holidays, except for New Year's Eve, when the half-hourly service will be extended to 1am New Year's Day.

  • Park the car and hop on a free bus. Long stay car parking is available at the AFL Football grounds on Weyba Rd,  Noosa Junction - The J and Noosa Junction Transit Centre. Noosa Junction Bowls Club is open for overflow parking during the Queensland Easter school holidays 29 March - 14 April from 8am to 6pm.

Holiday Parking

  • During the Queensland Easter and Christmas holidays, the Noosa Heads Lions Park is temporarily opened for paid parking on selected days. The paid parking is managed by the Tewantin-Noosa Lions Club, on behalf of Noosa Council, with 60% of the revenue going towards their charitable works.

    Fee - $20

    Open from 8.30am to 5.30pm on the following days:

    • Christmas holidays  - Saturday 9, Sunday 10, Saturday 16, Sunday 17, Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 December 2023, Tuesday 26 December 2023 to Sunday 14 January 2024, Saturday 20 to 21 January 2024
    • Easter - Friday 29 March to Sunday 14 April 2024.
  • The Noosa Sea Scouts offer boat trailer parking at their campground conveniently located near the Noosa River. Trailer parking is $10 a day or $50 for a week with all proceeds going to the Sea Scouts Program. For more information call 5473 0028 Email:bookings@noosaseascouts.com.au.

    In addition, a number of local Noosa storage facilities are also able to provide boat trailer parking for short and long term stays.

Other ways to get around

  • Get your exercise and avoid the traffic by walking or cycling - Noosa Walking & Cycling Map

    Spend more time at the beach and less time looking for a park, it only takes 20 minutes to ride a push bike from Tewantin to Hastings Street. Get there even faster on an e-bike or e-scooter. Park front and centre at one of our many convenient bike rack locations along Hastings Street, Main Beach and the Noosa National Park.

  • Lockers are available at the former Police Beat Building, 48 Hastings Street, or on the southern side of the Noosa Heads Surf Lifesaving Club. Prices vary ranging on size of locker and length of time required.
