    A Dog’s Life: Pet Expo 2023

    As an Event Crewie you will be helping with set up and pack down, check tickets upon entry, sell raffle tickets and make sure everyone is happy.     The Majestic Theatre

    The volunteer positions range from helping out at events, either movies or live performances both during the day and in the evening. Learning the bar, technical, admin support and much more. They can also assist people who would like to get their RSA or RMVL or food licence certificate and will cover the costs for them to gain this accreditation within reason. Email

    Noosa Regional Gallery

    Are you our next ArtPlay Sunday volunteer? Do you love working with children? Are you creative? We are looking for volunteers to assist at ArtPlay Sunday, a free family event held on the third Sunday of each month. Volunteers assist staff with the delivery of arts activities and interact with visiting families. This role would suit those with good communications skills, experience working with children and experience or an interest in art and craft. Blue Card required, NRG can assist with application if necessary. 10.30 am to 1.30 pm, third Sunday of each month.

    Gallery Shop/Reception Volunteer - Duties include; point of first contact for gallery visitors – greeting, making them welcome and assisting with their enquiries; providing information on exhibition and public programs; answering the main gallery phone; retail sales – customer service and general housekeeping in the shop. This role would suit those with excellent customer service skills, a fine arts & crafts background, retailing experience, flexibility, initiative and an interest in people. *Shifts are 3 hours.

    School Holiday Workshop Volunteer - During the school holidays the gallery runs art workshops for children aged 6 to 17 years facilitated by local artists. Volunteers assist with the delivery of activities including set up and pack down. This volunteer role would suit those who have experience or an interest in assisting children with a variety of arts & crafts skills. The workshops are facilitated for small groups outside the gallery. *Blue Card required.

    Noosa Library Service offers a number of ways to get involved. You can join the Friends of Noosa Library or Friends of Mill Place (Cooroy Library). We also provide opportunities for volunteers to assist with literacy training, selecting books to be delivered to home library clients and assisting with local studies, heritage and genealogy.

    Noosa Seniors

    Volunteers undertake a wide range of activities alongside NCS staff members. For example, driving individuals/groups of clients to various locations around the Noosa Shire, or taking clients to medical appointments outside of the area; those with ‘green fingers’ can assist with the horticultural classes in the beautiful garden; for volunteers who love to cook, a helping hand is always welcome in the kitchen; and simply having a chat and a cuppa with clients helps to make their day very enjoyable too.     Becoming a gallery volunteer can provide wonderful opportunities to contribute to the cultural activities in the Noosa and wider Sunshine Coast region. Volunteers assist gallery staff with the delivery of a diverse program of events and workshops as well as in the gallery shop. There is a supportive collegiate culture amongst our volunteers and friendships are often formed.
