The 2025 Community Satisfaction Survey was conducted between 28 April and 23 May 2025 by Place Score (an independent third party contracted by Council) .  Place Score surveyed 398 residents, ranging in age from 15 to over 65 and residing across the shire, ensuring a representative sample of the population. Respondents were asked to rate the performance of Council services and share what is most important to them. The survey captured community satisfaction with Council’s performance across five key themes – management and communications, future planning, transportation and waste, community programs and services, and community places. The results contribute to Council's future planning to meet community needs and priorities.

In 2025 Council achieved a 79% overall performance rating, indicating that a substantial majority of respondents were at least moderately satisfied with Council services over the previous two years.  These results are consistent with satisfaction ratings observed in other councils across Regional Queensland and Australia.
