The Noosa Shire is home to some of the most picturesque locations in Australia, from Hinterland wonders to world renowned foreshore sites: Noosa has it all! Pristine beaches and breathtaking scenery it really is the place to find the perfect ceremony site.
*Notification of Potential Major Works – Noosa Main Beach. Due to planned major works Noosa Main Beach Precinct will be closed for ceremony and event bookings from April 2028 – January 2029. Updates will be provided as available. Project information can be found on Council’s Noosa Main Beach Resilience page.
Please be aware that several major annual events take place in the Main Beach precinct, which will impact parking, access and availability. These events often involve beach structures and amplified sound. Before making a booking, we recommend checking both the Council Events Calendar and Tourism Noosa Website so you understand any potential impacts on your ceremony. All bookings are non-refundable.
Additionally, each of the Noosa Heads Foreshore areas close for several weeks during Spring for essential repair and rejuvenation works. These closure periods are fixed and cannot be altered.

Things to consider
- Shared public space: Consider how important it is for you to have control of your chosen area. As these are public spaces, other people may be picnicking, playing, or walking dogs nearby. There may also be ceremonies booked before or after yours. Your booking prevents overlapping bookings at the same time and location, but does not guarantee exclusive use of the area or its facilities.
- Other events: Check whether any events are scheduled in the precinct. Refer to the Noosa Council Events Calendar and Tourism Noosa Event Calendar, and review event websites for details such as road closures. Please be aware that Nippers operates on Main Beach from October to March.
- Accessibility: Ensure the official party and all guests can access the ceremony area safely. Consider whether any of your guests are elderly or have mobility impairments, and whether the selected site is suitable for them.
- Equipment access: Assess whether the area is accessible for delivering equipment or setting up. Vehicle access is not permitted in parks or on beaches, and all vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas.
- Wet weather plan: Make sure you have an alternative venue in case of bad weather.
- Environmental protections: Protecting the environment is a priority. Confetti and confetti‑style items are prohibited. Please review the booking Terms and Conditions for full details.
- Maintenance: Council maintains parks and gardens as part of a routine schedule. Special mowing or servicing is not provided, and Council cannot control natural debris or remnants left by others prior to your ceremony.
- Weather and tides: Do you have an alternative venue in case of bad weather? Some locations, particularly along the coastal strip, can be more exposed to the elements—for example, strong late‑afternoon winds. Beaches also vary in size and ambience depending on tide levels. Council recommends checking the local tide times.
