Location: Pioneer Park

Project: Exciting improvements are coming to Pioneer Park on King Street, Cooran, with playground renewal works set to begin soon. 

Duration: Construction is scheduled to commence on Monday, 15 June, with completion expected in July, weather and site conditions permitting. 

Works will take place during daytime hours between 6:30am and 6:30pm.

During this time, the entire playground area will be temporarily closed to ensure community safety.

Location: James Street - Asphalt Works

Project: Contractors will soon commence asphalt reseal work on James Street.

Duration: Work is scheduled to commence 15th June, with completion expected by 19th June, weather and site conditions permitting. 

Works will take place during daytime hours between 6:30am and 6:30pm.

Location: Nandroya Road, Cooroy

Project: Following the storm event on 29 March 2025, instability was identified at the edge of Nandroya Road. Interim stability works have been completed to keep two lanes open to traffic. The lane widths through this section are narrow and motorists are advised to drive to conditions.

Investigations into long-term repair options are continuing.

Contractors will soon commence asphalt works on Fig Tree Lane.

Work was scheduled to commence on 22 June 2026 with completion expected by the same day, subject to weather, contractor availability and site conditions.

Noosa Heads: Claude Batten Drive - Fencing Replacement Works

Contractors will soon commence fencing replacement works on Noosa Council’s Sand Recycling System infrastructure along Claude Batten Dr (Noosa Woods). Works are proudly funded by Council’s Capital Works budget.

Work is scheduled to commence on Wednesday, 22^nd April with completion expected by Friday, 20^th June 2026, subject to weather, contractor availability and site conditions. The work will be undertaken during the day between the hours of 6.30am and 6.30pm.

Location:  Noosa Parade & Quamby Place - Mulching Night Works

Project: Contractors are engaged to complete roadside and median garden bed mulching on Noosa Parade and Quamby Place.

Start Date: Work is scheduled to commence on Thursday, 21st May with completion expected by Thursday 28th May, subject to weather, contractor availability and site conditions.

Location: Pirate Playground All-Abilities  Element Replacement

Project: The Pirate playground liberty swing is at the end of its useful life and will be removed and replaced with inclusive all-abilities play equipment included a trampoline and a carousel.

Duration: Work is scheduled to commence on the 25th May with completion expected within approximately two weeks, subject to weather, contractor availability and site conditions.

The work will be undertaken during the day between the hours of 6.30am and 6.30pm.

Location: Quota Park, Gympie Terrace, Noosaville

Project: Noosa Council will begin construction of a new accessible and Changing Places accredited amenities facility at Quota Park, Gympie Terrace, Noosaville in late June. The project responds to strong community feedback from the Noosaville Foreshore Infrastructure Master Plan, which identified the need for additional amenities and improved spacing between facilities along the foreshore. Quota Park was selected as the preferred location due to its accessibility, visibility and minimal impact on open space.

Duration: Construction is anticipated to commence late June 2026, with work expected to finish by November 2026, subject to weather and construction conditions.

Location: Ely Park Revetment Wall, Gympie Terrace, Noosaville

Project: Council contractors will soon begin temporary stabilisation works on a 50-metre section of failing timber revetment wall along Gympie Terrace, adjacent to Massoud’s Slipway and Ely Park.

Duration: Works are scheduled to commence on Tuesday, 7 April 2026 and are expected to be completed by 29 May 2026, subject to weather, contractor availability and site conditions.

Working hours will be 6.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Location: Eumundi Noosa Road - Kerb and Channel Night Works

UPDATE 26 May 26: Works have been rescheduled to 1 June 26

Project: Contractors will soon commence kerb and channel works on Eumundi Noosa Road. Asphalt resurfacing works will follow shortly after however an additional notice will be issued.

Duration: Night Works are scheduled to commence on Monday, 1st June with completion expected by the 4th June 2026, subject to weather, contractor availability and site conditions. 

The work will be undertaken during the night between the hours of 6.30pm and 6.30am.

Project: Contractors will soon commence drainage works on Gibson Service Road, Noosaville.

Duration: Work is scheduled to commence on Tuesday the 9 th of June 2026 with completion expected by Friday the 12th of June 2026, subject to weather, contractor availability and site conditions.

Location: Stan Topper Park - Amenities Upgrade

Project: The Stan Topper Park public amenities (N8), located at the corner of Reserve Street and Memorial Avenue in Pomona, are set to undergo an upgrade. During construction, temporary public toilet facilities will be available, including two male and two female portable toilets, which will be serviced daily to maintain public access and cleanliness throughout the works. 

Duration: Work is scheduled to commence 1st June 2026 with completion expected by the 26th June 2026, subject to weather, contractor availability and site conditions.

The work will be undertaken during the day between the hours of 6.30am and 6.30pm.

Location: Sunshine Creek embankment stabilisation 

Project: In March 2026, Noosa Council will be starting reconstruction works to stabilise the Sunshine Creek embankment at Sunrise Beach.

Duration: These works will be finished by June 2026, weather and construction conditions permitting.

Location: Hilton Esplanade - Street Improvements

Thank you to everyone who participated in the first stage of community consultation for the Hilton Esplanade Improvement Project.

We received extensive feedback and are now reviewing it to help develop the concept designs for the next stage. We look forward to sharing these with you soon.

Location: Doonella Lake Bridge

Project: We're upgrading Doonell Lake Bridge for a safer, stronger connection. Originally constructed in 1968, the bridge plays a critical role in our local transport network, connecting Tewantin and Noosaville and carrying an average of over 20,000 vehicles daily, along with many pedestrians and cyclists.These essential works will improve the bridge’s safety, durability, and accessibility for all road users.

Duration: Set to commence in July 2026, with work expected to finish by early December 2026, subject to weather and construction conditions.
