Contractors will soon commence drainage works on Tidswell Rd.

Work is scheduled to commence on Friday, 31^st July 2026 with completion expected by Saturday, 1^st August 2026, subject to weather, contractor availability and site conditions. The work will be undertaken during the day between the hours of 6.30am and 6.30pm.

Location: Black Mountain Road 

Project: Contractors will be onsite to complete minor repairs on Black Mountain Road near number 359.

Duration: Works are being completed between Monday, 29 June and Friday, 3 July 2026, weather and site conditions permitting.

A single-lane closure will be in place during work hours between 6am and 6pm.

Location: Boreen Parade - Sand Nourishment Works

Sand nourishment works will commence to restore the sand in the area following the rock wall damage at the Moon Seat. 

Work is scheduled to commence on Monday, 27^th July 2026 with completion expected that day, subject to weather, contractor availability and site conditions. The work will be undertaken during the day between the hours of 6.30am and 6.30pm.

UPDATE 28/07/2026: Sand nourishment works are complete, with sandstone rock placement still to be undertaken.

Location: Pioneer Park

Project: Exciting improvements are coming to Pioneer Park on King Street, Cooran, with playground renewal works set to begin soon. 

Duration: Construction is scheduled to commence on Monday, 15 June, with completion expected in July, weather and site conditions permitting. 

Works will take place during daytime hours between 6:30am and 6:30pm.

During this time, the entire playground area will be temporarily closed to ensure community safety.

Location: Quota Park, Gympie Terrace, Noosaville

Project: Noosa Council will begin construction of a new accessible and Changing Places accredited amenities facility at Quota Park, Gympie Terrace, Noosaville in late June. The project responds to strong community feedback from the Noosaville Foreshore Infrastructure Master Plan, which identified the need for additional amenities and improved spacing between facilities along the foreshore. Quota Park was selected as the preferred location due to its accessibility, visibility and minimal impact on open space.

Duration: Construction is anticipated to commence late June 2026, with work expected to finish by November 2026, subject to weather and construction conditions.

Location: Bluebell Court Pathway Upgrade, Noosaville

Project: Noosa Council is upgrading the pedestrian  pathway network at Bluebell Court,  Noosaville, to improve connectivity within the local active transport network. The project  will deliver missing links between existing  pathway sections, creating safer, more  accessible and durable connections for the  community.  Works include the construction of two new  pedestrian ramps at Bluebell Court to improve accessibility and strengthen links between existing pathways for residents and visitors. 

This project forms part of Council’s ongoing commitment to improving active transport infrastructure and enhancing community safety. 

Duration: Construction is scheduled to commence on Monday 22 June 2026 and is expected to be completed by late July 2026, weather permitting. Works will occur Monday to Friday between 6:30am and 5:00pm, with no weekend works planned.

Location: Eumundi Noosa Road - Asphalt Reseal Night Works

Contractors will soon commence Asphalt Reseal work on Eumundi Noosa Road. Resealing works will be undertaken by Allroad Surfaces and managed by Council. Works will occur on both the northbound and southbound lanes (not simultaneously) between Walter Hay Drive and Eenie Creek Road. Traffic detours and signage will be in place.

Work is scheduled to commence on Sunday, 16^th August with completion expected by Monday, 17^th August 2026, subject to weather, contractor availability and site conditions. The work will be undertaken at night between the hours of 6.30pm and 6.30am.

Contractors will soon commence Asphalt Reseal work on Lake Entrance Boulevard.

Location: Peregian Beach Skatepark - Surface Renewal Works 

Contractors will soon commence Surface Renewal works at Peregian Beach Skate Park. Every effort will be made to minimise the impact, on traffic and the public, however a periodic closure of the area will be necessary to complete the works.

Location: Stan Topper Park - Amenities Upgrade

Project: The Stan Topper Park public amenities (N8), located at the corner of Reserve Street and Memorial Avenue in Pomona, are set to undergo an upgrade. During construction, temporary public toilet facilities will be available, including two male and two female portable toilets, which will be serviced daily to maintain public access and cleanliness throughout the works. 

Duration: Work is scheduled to commence 1st June 2026 with completion expected by the 26th June 2026, subject to weather, contractor availability and site conditions.

Project: In March 2026, Noosa Council will be starting reconstruction works to stabilise the Sunshine Creek embankment at Sunrise Beach.

Duration: These works will be finished by September 2026, weather and construction conditions permitting.

Location: Noosa Aquatic Centre - Pool Closure for Filtration Upgrades

Project: The 50m Pool requires a filtration refurbishment, and the Program Pool requires a new filtration system which both have reached end of life. This work is necessary to ensure our pools operate safely, efficiently and provide the best possible water quality into the future.  

The 25m pool will remain open whilst works are in progress. 

Duration: Work is scheduled to commence on 8 June 2026 with completion expected by 31 August, subject to weather and site conditions. This 3-month work scope will require a number of parking spaces (4-6) leading to the NAC loading dock to be fenced off. Every effort has been made to minimise the impact. All aquatic programs will continue, with temporary relocation to the 25m Pool.

Location: Hilton Esplanade - Street Improvements

Thank you to everyone who participated in the first stage of community consultation for the Hilton Esplanade Improvement Project.

We received extensive feedback and are now reviewing it to help develop the concept designs for the next stage. We look forward to sharing these with you soon.

Location: Doonella Lake Bridge

Project: We're upgrading Doonell Lake Bridge for a safer, stronger connection. Originally constructed in 1968, the bridge plays a critical role in our local transport network, connecting Tewantin and Noosaville and carrying an average of over 20,000 vehicles daily, along with many pedestrians and cyclists.These essential works will improve the bridge’s safety, durability, and accessibility for all road users.

Duration: Set to commence in July 2026, with work expected to finish by early December 2026, subject to weather and construction conditions.

Location: William Steet Pathway Upgrade, Tewantin

Project: Noosa Council is upgrading the pedestrian pathway network along William Street, Tewantin, to improve connectivity within the local active transport network.

Works include the construction of approximately 120 metres of new concrete pathway and the renewal of 60 metres of existing pathway along William Street. These upgrades will improve accessibility and provide safer, more connected links for residents and visitors.

The project forms part of Council’s ongoing commitment to improving active transport infrastructure and enhancing community safety.

Duration: Construction is scheduled to commence on Monday 22 June 2026 and is expected to be completed by late July 2026, weather permitting. Works will occur Monday to Friday between 6:30am and 5:00pm, with no weekend works planned.
