When visiting our cemeteries in the Noosa Shire, to ensure you stay safe and keep the cemetery a tidy place for peaceful reflection, please follow these guidelines:

  • Supervise children at all times and take care as monuments and headstones may be unstable and grounds may be uneven.
  • To ensure the cemetery remains tidy, we have a limit of one floral tribute or adornment per site.
  • Planting trees or shrubs on or near a grave is prohibited.
  • Only an authorised officer of Noosa Council shall open the ground for burial in any part of the cemetery.
  • All works within the cemetery must have prior Council approval.
  • Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Please clean up after you dog.

If you find an error with an online record, fill in Request to Update Online Cemetery Record Form(PDF, 127KB) and Council will investigate.
