Community Grants
Noosa Council's Community Grants provide an opportunity for Council to support local not-for-profit organisations to:
- deliver important projects and events,
- build organisational capacity, and
- develop and maintain local community infrastructure through the provision of financial support.
Funded projects help deliver on Council’s strategic goals and identified key initiatives.
Council's community grants are administered in accordance with the Community Grants Policy(PDF, 39KB).

Community Project Grants - Round 25 opens February 2027
Community Project Grants run once per year
Noosa Council's Community Project Grants provide financial support to not-for-profit organisations to deliver projects that address identified community needs, build community connection, skills and resilience, and develop sustainable community infrastructure.
The Round 25 Guidelines are currently in development, but we encourage you to read the Round 24 Guidelines in the link below and to start preparing your project to be grant ready in February 2027.
We strongly recommend that you consult with a Council Community Development Officer, Cultural Development Officer or Sports Liaison Officer prior to commencing your application. They can help you prepare your case for funding and are able to bring any other funding opportunities to your attention.

Individual Sports Development Grants - OPEN NOW!
Operating on a rolling basis, until the annual budget is exhausted.
Individual Sport Development Grants aim to support Noosa Shire residents who have been selected to represent Queensland or Australia at recognised national or international sporting competitions. The program provides financial assistance to help offset costs associated with competing at a national or international level.

Signature Community Event Grants
Please note: The Festive Season and Signature Events programs have been combined into a single category called Signature Community Events Grants.
The Signature Community Events Grant provides financial support for up to three years to established, not-for-profit organisations with a proven track record of delivering events that offer significant benefits to the Noosa community. These grants aim to support events that demonstrate value for money and align with Council’s strategic goals and key initiatives. Events must be free to attend, be inclusive and accessible, prioritise local suppliers and consider Noosa’s environmental values.

Community Alliance Agreements
Community Alliance Agreements provide financial support for up to three years to eligible not-for-profit community organisations that deliver services offering significant benefits to the Noosa community beyond their membership. These grants aim to support organisations that demonstrate value for money and align closely with Council’s strategic goals and key initiatives.

Three Year Maintenance Agreements
Maintenance Agreements provide support for not-for-profit community organisations that maintain a Council Hall or centre, or sports field that is open to the public.
Maintenance Agreements are non-competitive grants that are available by invitation only to eligible organisations and offer up to three years of funding as a contribution towards the cost of the maintenance of sports fields or a Council owned hall or centre in the Noosa Shire.
