Today's girls are growing up in a complex world of pressures and expectations unlike anything we have seen before. From social media and body image concerns to friendships, relationships, consent, and belonging, many parents are wondering how best to support their daughters to navigate all of this with confidence and self-trust.

This practical, evidence-informed session explores how parents can help their daughters develop a strong sense of self, healthy boundaries, and the self confidence to communicate their needs in an increasingly complex world.

Together we'll explore:

  • How social media, comparison culture, and unrealistic beauty standards can shape girls' body image, confidence, and sense of self-worth
  • Practical ways to foster positive body esteem, self-trust, and resilience in a filtered world
  • How to have open, age-appropriate conversations about consent, boundaries, communication, and healthy relationships
  • Ways to support your daughters to recognise pressure, trust their instincts, and communicate their needs with confidence
  • The emotional and developmental changes of the teenage years and how to stay connected when communication becomes more challenging
  • Simple, practical tools for creating the kind of relationship where your daughter feels safe to talk, ask questions, and seek support

Parents will leave with:

  • A deeper understanding of the unique pressures facing girls today
  • Practical conversation starters and communication tools
  • Greater confidence discussing body image, boundaries, relationships, and consent
  • Strategies to support their daughters to develop strong voices, healthy boundaries, and lasting self-trust

Because when our daughters learn to trust themselves, communicate clearly, and know their worth, they are better equipped to navigate relationships, challenges, and opportunities throughout their lives.

This session is ideal for parents and carers of girls aged 11 and above and provides a foundation for ongoing conversations about relationships, respect, consent, media literacy, and emotional wellbeing.
