This Winter holidays
Living Well will be running a series of holiday workshops for kids and teens in collaboration with Noosa Libraries, Pomona District Community House and the Botanical Gardens.
All workshops are FREE to join but bookings will be essential

Join our regular kids yoga teacher Florence as play yoga-inspired games, encouraging kids to stretch, balance, and explore movement while building confidence and body awareness. We’ll weave in simple, child-friendly breathing exercises that help little ones settle, focus, and feel calm.

Teens Street Art Workshop : Thursday 9th July: 1-4pm @ Pomona District Community House
Get creative and learn the basics of street art at Mural Drew-al in a fun, beginner-friendly workshop. Explore lettering, stencils, characters, and design techniques while creating your own artwork.
No experience needed—just bring your ideas and have a go. This workshop is all about creativity, self-expression, and trying something new in a supportive environment.

Kids Paperbark Nature Journal Workshop: Wednesday 1st July: 10-11am @ Noosa Botanic Gardens
Children will use natural and recycled materials to create a beautiful, handmade journal inspired by the textures and colours of the gardens. This special keepsake can be used to draw, write and collect nature discoveries.
This is a relaxed and welcoming session for children and families. Parents and carers are invited to stay, sit and create alongside the children, and enjoy a peaceful morning in nature.
Sessions are run by Lidia from Big Scrub Nature Play.
Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult.
Children aged 5–10 years may be dropped off.

Kids Nature Self Portraits Workshop:

Come and explore creativity in the gardens through art and nature.
In this hands-on workshop, children will create a self-portrait and decorate it using natural materials such as leaves, flowers and found foliage gathered from the gardens. This activity encourages creativity, observation and connection with the natural environment.
Parents and carers are welcome to stay and enjoy a creative, unhurried morning in the gardens.
Sessions are run by Lidia from Big Scrub Nature Play.
Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult.

Kids (6-10) Storytelling With Nature Workshop: Wednesday 8th July : 10-11.30am @ Noosa Botanic Gardens
Calling all storytellers and story lovers.
In this imaginative workshop, children will explore the Botanic Gardens, learn simple storytelling techniques, and create their own nature-inspired stories.
Using mindful practices such as “listening in the four directions,” children will tune into their surroundings and awaken their senses. They will then bring their stories to life in their own unique way — through storytelling, drawing, writing, movement, sculpture or play.
This is a creative and engaging session designed to nurture imagination, confidence and a deeper connection to nature.
Sessions are run by Lidia from Big Scrub Nature Play.
Suitable for children aged 6–10 years. Drop-off session.
