To celebrate QLD Mental Health Week join us in the Botanical Gardens between 3rd-11th October for a range of programs that support our connection mental wellbeing. Programs are brought to you in partnership between Living Well Noosa, Noosa Libraries and Friends of the Noosa Botanic Gardens

The 2026 Theme: Build Community, Build Wellbeing Mental health isn’t shaped by individual experience alone, it’s built in the communities around us. The sporting clubs we belong to, the workplaces we show up to, the neighbourhoods we call home — they all shape how we feel. This year’s theme, Build Community, Build Wellbeing, is an invitation to move beyond awareness and into action. To celebrate the everyday moments of connection that help people feel valued, supported, and like they belong. Because when we build community, we build wellbeing for everyone. Read more HERE

Mental health has also been related to connection with nature and here in Noosa we are very lucky to have many beautiful outdoors spots to spend time in. All activities for QLD Mental health week are held in the Botanic Gardens to encourage connection with nature and the use of this beautiful spot, only a short drive from the hub of Cooroy. Pack a hat, water and picnic and come and soak up the benefits of connecting to greenery.

1. Propagation Workshop with Paul Plant: Saturday 3rd October 2026

Growing plants from cuttings is one of the most rewarding activities gardeners do. As part of Mental Health Week, this workshop will help you connect with nature, improve your success in the garden and support your mental wellbeing.

The workshop will be facilitated by qualified horticulturist, Paul Plant, who has worked in nurseries since the mid 1990's.  Paul will take you through how to take cuttings from a wide range of ornamental and edible plants and how to treat them for maximum success. Industry methods will be explained to help home gardens achieve better results.  As a bonus, what you propagate during the workshop, you get to take home.

This workshop is hosted by Friends of Noosa Botanic Gardens and partially funded and supported by Noosa Council's 'Living Well' community program initiative to subsidise the ticket price

Get a taste of Adi's music below

Adi creates a rich tapestry of ecstatic and devotional healing soundscapes, sharing traditional Polynesian(RED) stories fused with the ancient wisdom of Shivaic(BLACK) Nazarene(WHITE) and Buddhist(YELLOW) spiritualities, into a modern, high-vibe offering. Deep, powerful vocals blending ancient chants with multi-layered, live-looped instrumentation, featuring the soulful melodies of the Native American flute, the grounding pulse of the medicine drum, resonant drone of duelling didgeridoos alongside virtuoso percussionist and second didgeridoo player Ryan “OziBushman”. An invitation for all people to unite as one global heartbeat, this is more than just a performance—it is a musical prayer, an honouring of humanity's true strength, peace, and healing, reminding us of the power that awakens when we recognise our shared roots. At the core of his musical expression is a message of spiritual sovereignty and unity consciousness, activated by the Native American Rainbow Prophecy where Black Yellow White and Red come into the one forming a diverse "new tribe" of people from all races, colours, and creeds, rising up to heal the planet, restore its natural balance, and unite humanity
