GRoW Gardening & Wellbeing Program - Cooroy
Next date: Thursday, 18 June 2026 | 09:00 AM
to Thursday, 03 September 2026 | 11:00 AM
GRoW Cooroy is a local gardening and wellbeing program offering gentle, nature-based activities to help people feel more supported and connected in their own community:
• no gardening experience needed
• you don’t need to be fit, or feeling confident
• just come as you are.
Currently GRoW is running as a pilot program at Cooroy
Community Garden with limited places. We’re learning what works best so the program can grow in the future.
It is a community-centred program and is delivered in partnership with the University of the Sunshine Coast, Noosa Permaculture, and Pomona & District Community House.
Who is it for?
GRoW Cooroy is for you, if you:
• would enjoy gentle activity, routine and being outdoors
• are feeling isolated or disconnected from your local community
• are managing a long-term health condition, caring role, or life transition
• are open to group-based community activities and giving it a go.
What does it involve?
• A free facilitated Therapeutic Horticulture Pilot Program.
• June 18th – September 3rd, 2026 · weekly 2-hour Thursday sessions.
• Held at Cooroy Community Garden, Garnet Street, Cooroy.
• A small, welcoming group setting.
• Supported by trained GRoW Buddy Volunteers, a facilitator and program coordinator/link worker.
Full details will be provided in the Participant Information and Consent Statement.
