Re-Nourish in the Botanical Gardens each month with a series of pop-up classes that support our mental wellbeing thanks to the support of Living Well .

This month enjoy some FREE activities in celebration of the ANZ Botanic Gardens week (18th-24th May)

1. Yoga in the Gardens (all ages and abilities)

Yoga class: Enjoy some simple breathing and mediation techniques as well as beginner friendly yoga poses amongst the natural beauty of the gardens. Suitable for teens and kids that can follow instructions and maintain focus

Take a gentle pause and reconnect with yourself in this calming yoga session held in the beauty of nature. Designed to help reset the nervous system, this practice blends soft, supportive movements with fascia release, mindful stretching, and breath awareness. Suitable for all ages and levels, the class offers a safe and welcoming space to nurture your body, calm your mind, and uplift your energy.

As we move together, you’ll be invited to connect not only with your own inner rhythm, but also with the environment, the community, and the natural world around you. Leave feeling lighter, rebalanced, and more vibrant—ready to carry that renewed energy into your day

When:  Sunday 21st June & Sunday 28th June : 8.30-9.30am

Where: the Poinciana Lawn (see map below)

Cost: $10/ $5 concession for 1 hour session

  • Bring your own mat
  • Parts of the session may at times be in the sunlight. Please ensure you bring a hat and suitable clothing / sun protection as well as refillable water bottle for your comfort.
  • Please note if wet weather is likely then this session may need to be postponed. In this instance you will be contacted directly on details you supply upon booking for this program so please ensure these are correct.

2. Silk Scarf Dyeing in the Gardens (+12 yo)  Sunday 21st June 2026

In this calming, hands-on experience, you’ll be guided to create your own one-of-a-kind silk scarf using natural dyes and botanical elements. Leaves, petals, and organic textures become your tools, imprinting delicate shapes and earthy tones onto soft flowing silk. No experience is needed—just a willingness to slow down, explore, and let nature lead the way. Surrounded by greenery, birdsong, and fresh air, this workshop is designed to soothe the nervous system and invite a sense of presence connection and creativity. It’s not just about what you make, but how you feel while making it—grounded, inspired, and connected. You’ll leave with a beautiful wearable piece of art and a renewed sense of calm.

All materials are provided. Simply bring a hat, water, and something comfortable to sit on. Come open-hearted and ready to create.

3. Neurographic Art in the Gardens (+12 yo) Sunday 28th June 2026

Neurographic Art is a mindful creative practice that combines simple drawing techniques with free-flowing lines and shapes to encourage relaxation, self-expression, and mental clarity. The process is designed to help calm the nervous system, reduce stress, foster creativity, and create new pathways of thinking through intuitive mark-making.

Surrounded by the sights, sounds, and natural beauty of the gardens, participants will be invited to slow down, connect with the present moment, and explore creativity in a supportive and welcoming environment. Research consistently shows that spending time in nature can improve mood, reduce stress, and enhance overall wellbeing. When combined with the meditative qualities of Neurographic Art, the experience offers a unique opportunity to nurture both mind and body.

No artistic experience is required—just a willingness to explore, create, and connect with yourself, nature, and others.

All materials are provided. Simply bring a hat, water, and something comfortable to sit on. Come open-hearted and ready to create.
