Parking and Street Changes

Over the Easter Holiday period, several temporary parking and street changes will be in place to help manage traffic during the busy holiday season.

Main Beach Drop-Off Area

From 20 December 2025 to 4 January 2026, the Main Beach Reserve will temporarily operate as a 2-minute passenger drop-off area.

The site will close to vehicles at 3am, 19 December 2025, and reopen for regular parking on the afternoon of 5 January 2026. Pedestrian access will remain open via designated footpaths.

The temporary drop-off zone will improve pedestrian safety and traffic flow during peak visitor periods while maintaining access for emergency and essential vehicles.

Facilities available in the drop-off area

  • Shaded seating waiting areas
  • Additional female toilets
  • A Unitywater ambient filtered water van
  • Extra bike racks and scooter parking 

Limited spaces will be reserved for:

  • 1 Council vehicle
  • 1 Lifesaver vehicle
  • 6 accessible parking spaces

 

Other Parking & Street Changes

  • Noosa Junction Bus Station Car Park – 19 December – 26 January changes 2 hour parking is temporarily been increased to 6 hour parking
  • 3 parking bays behind the Hastings Street taxi rank for emergency vehicle use only during the schoolies period and throughout the Christmas season, until 27 January 2026
