Tewantin Bypass, Beckmans Road Planning

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is leading the planning of the Beckmans Road corridor to improve safety and traffic flow between Cooroy-Noosa Road and Eumundi-Noosa Road in Tewantin.

Planning is underway to identify the best options to reduce congestion, enhance road user safety, and increase efficiency along the corridor. Stage 1 of the upgrade was completed in 2022, including the construction of a new 2-lane roundabout at the Cooroy-Noosa Road and Beckmans Road intersection.

Stage 2 of the project is fully funded by the Queensland Government, with a total investment of $8.5 million for the planning phase.
