Sunshine Creek embankment stabilisation

In March 2026, Noosa Council will be starting reconstruction works to stabilise the Sunshine Creek embankment at Sunrise Beach. These works will be finished by June 2026, weather and construction conditions permitting.

The embankment has sustained landslide damage over several years, and these works will provide long-term stability and improved environmental outcomes.

There will be changed conditions for pedestrians and traffic during construction. Detail about the changes are in the Project News(PDF, 2MB) .
