Social support for individuals

Seniors shopping help

This is a one-on-one service to support you with shopping assistance, visiting and social activities. This could also include tasks like shopping, bill payment, accessing community facilities, and opportunities to engage in friendly conversations over a cup of tea.

Personal care

Personal care which includes support with daily self-care tasks to help maintain hygiene and grooming. Clients receive personalised assistance within the comfort of their own homes, ranging from basic household tasks to daily personal self-care activities such as getting in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and moving around the house.

Social support group

Social support group to help clients participate in community life and feel socially included through group based activities in their local community or at the Noosa Seniors centre.

There are programs to help regain and maintain independence and autonomy, for as long as possible.

Respite services

Respite services in the home or at the centre are offered. There is a range of activities that support senior's wellbeing.

Domestic assistance

Domestic assistance with general house cleaning to provide a helping hand when it is needed the most.

Allied health - podiatry

Noosa Seniors understand how important your foot health is to your overall health. Professional podiatrists will work with clients to ensure optimal foot and lower limb health.

Community Transport

Transport delivered by volunteer drivers for medical appointments and to access the community. Clients can enjoy the security that they will be collected from home, assisted to appointments and safely returned home again.

Volunteer drivers use their own vehicles to transport clients to medical appointments between the Sunshine Coast, Gympie and Brisbane. Clients are collected from their homes, assisted to their appointments and returned home again. 

Clients pay a nominal fee for transport to medical appointments, which is used to reimburse the volunteer drivers for their expenses.

Carers support

Carer support assists carers who require support and respite. The centre has a strong community link with Carer Gateway Wellways, offering counselling, support with connecting carers with other carers for knowledge and experience sharing, emotional support and mentoring.

Support seniors maintenance

Home maintenance

Minor home maintenance is a service focusing on repairs and maintenance of clients home to improve safety, accessibility and independence within the home.

Noosa Seniors can assist you with home safety checks, home security assessments, home maintenance and assistance when needing to employ tradespeople.

Home modifications

Noosa Seniors provide minor home modifications to a clients home to increase or maintain their independence, so they can continue to live and move safely around their house.
