Peregian Beach Community House

Rufous St community House

Stage 3 of the development of the Rufous St precinct comprises a new Peregian Beach Community House and a landscaped Greenspace.

Kane Constructions were awarded the contract to complete this $3.03 million dollar stage with work to be completed in April 2022.

The new community house design has been developed in conjunction with Bark Design Architects, the Peregian Beach Community House Association and other stakeholders.

Plans include a new Community House with an increased number of hire / meeting rooms complemented by a greenspace of 4000m2 of sculptured gardens, a play area, winding footpaths and grassed areas.

The Australian Government through the Building Better Regions fund, and the State Government, through its Maturing the Infrastructure Pipeline Program, both helped fund the project.

A new carpark has been constructed adjacent to the new Community House alongside Di Hurst oval. This new carpark is now open for public use.

Once all of Stage 3 is constructed, a total of $10.2M of Council, State and Federal funding will have been invested into the project.
