Project details:

Work has commenced on construction of the next 10 bus stops to be brought up to disability compliance standards.

Bus stops will close temporarily during the work.  Notices advising of closures and alternative arrangements will be placed at affected stops.

Duration: Work on all bus stops to be completed by May 2018, weather dependent.

Project details:

As part of Council's reseal and rehabilitation program, work will commence shortly to reseal various rural roads in the Noosa Council region. See the project news for the full list of roads.

Work will commence in April and take approximately 2 weeks, subject to weather conditions.

Project details:

As part of Council's pathway renewal program, construction will commence shortly on seven renewal projects throughout the Shire.

Work will be scheduled to allow for the pathways to be open during the school term or school holiday periods depending on the use of the pathway. The projects are to be completed by May 2018, weather dependent.

Noosa Heads  
Location: Park Road Boardwalk
Project details:

Work to replace a 420m section of the Park Road Boardwalk from Little Cove to the Noosa National Park entrance has started. The project will be completed by mid-December 2018, weather permitting.

One lane of Park Road will be closed from Thursday 26 April 2018 with traffic flowing in a one-way loop from Park Road up Alderley Terrace and down Mitti Street. Pedestrians will also use an alternative pathway to access the National Park from Little Cove.

Location: Noosa River Holiday Park
Project details:

Work to update and renew two amenities blocks at the Noosa River Holiday Park will be staged to minimise the impact on holiday park customers.

Construction to be undertaken between February 2018 and December 2018.

Location: Hilton Terrace, Noosaville and Tewantin
Project details:

Work on a $3 million upgrade of Hilton Terrace between the Doonella Bridge and Hilton Esplanade will commence shortly. The project is staged with completion by the end of 2019, weather permitting.

The first stage of work will see the construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of Hilton Terrace and Ernest Street in the second half of 2018.

Motorists are encouraged to allow more travel time and to avoid peak hour travel where possible.

Location: Albert Street carpark
Project details:

The carpark will be closed for 5 hours on Monday, 23 April while tree pruning and removal work is undertaken. The work is required to ensure public safety in the carpark.

Carpark users are asked to ensure their car is removed from the carpark by 6.30am on Monday, 23 April 2018.

Project details:

Construction will commence shortly on a pathway upgrade at the Noosaville Lions Park and Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club carpark, Gympie Terrace, Noosaville.

The carpark will remain open to traffic with changed traffic conditions and reduced speed limit signage in place.

Project details:

Council has obtained a development approval for upgrades to the holiday park and plans to commence work in May 2018.

Detailed design for the project has now commenced with works to be completed between the end of July 2018 and December 2018.

Location: Poinciana Avenue
Project details:

As part of Council’s annual road resurfacing program, construction will commence shortly on the Poinciana Avenue, Tewantin road upgrade, between Werin Street and Sidoni Street. To reduce the impact on residents and holidaymakers over the Easter period the project will be staged.

Stage 1 commencing in February 2018 will see construction of a wider pathway and new parking bays and a new left turning lane at the Moorindil Street/Poinciana Avenue roundabout.

Project details:

Work will commence shortly to upgrade the footpath between the Tewantin-Noosaville Neighbourhood Police Beat and the Noosa District Catholic Parish, on Poinciana Avenue.

This work, stage 3 of the Poinciana Avenue upgrade, will see improved connectivity to the Tewantin township with the construction of:

  • a 2m wide footpath
  • improved drainage
  • reconstructed driveways providing standard profile entries, and
  • indented car parking bays.
Start date: At the completion of road work on Moorindil Street and Poinciana Avenue

Project details:

Work has commenced on drainage improvements and pavement repairs between Griffith Avenue and Beckmans Road.

The road will be open to traffic with traffic control in place while work is undertaken.
