Projects & Support

The gardens are actively supported by a number of groups within the community, including council staff, volunteers, trainees, garden clubs, community organisations, community service workers, local businesses and residents. Donations of funding and time are key to the success of the Noosa Botanic Gardens.

Volunteers

Council continues to develop and maintain the gardens with valuable help from Friends of the Botanic Gardens' volunteers. If you have time and would like to be a volunteer, contact council's customer service centre for details.

Groups

Groups are welcome to tour the gardens subject to reasonable advance notice.

Telephone council's customer service centre or email details to council. Please include the date and time you wish to visit, the size of the group, and the name and contact details of the group leader.

Functions

The gardens include an open-air bush chapel and an amphitheatre with water views, making this a superb location for a wedding ceremony.

Orange and red hippeastrums are planted around the lake and the lilies make a spectacle when they bloom in mid-spring. The bridal walk is a vine-covered pergola set between two large lawns. Wider paved areas reach most of these areas and provide access for bridal vehicles. The amphitheatre is also used for community events and performances.
