Council provides a fortnightly recycling collection service to Noosa residents and commercial customers.

Residents can recycle plastics numbered from 1-6 and silver lined UHT cartons.

E-waste such as computers, laptops, mobile phones, TVs, monitors, and AV equipment can now be dropped off at Council's Eumundi Road Resource and Recovery Centre (tip) for free and recycled. Please do not place e-waste in the recycling (yellow lid) bin.

To order a 360 Litre recycle bin (standard bin size is 240 Litre) and/or a 360 Litre garden waste recycling bin service please download and complete the 360L Recycling Bin service form .

  • Fit more in the bin by flattening boxes. 
  • Remove lids and squash plastic bottles. Lids are recyclable.
  • Do not put recyclables in plastic bags.
  • Place items loose in the bin — it saves space too

Recyclable bin collection guidelines

Bins should be placed within 1 metre of the road kerb and 1 metre from other bins and objects with the handles facing towards the property. Put bins out before 6am on collection day, or the night before. Bins must not block footpaths or driveways. Bins should be placed clear of parked cars, trees and poles. Only waste placed inside the bins will be collected.

Damaged bins, missed bins and extra services

To request a replacement or repair to a damaged bin, or report a stolen bin, simply complete this online form. Please note that residents are responsible for the cleanliness of their bins.

Garden Waste Bin Service

Garden waste including grass clippings, palm fronds and small branches, is recycled at Eumundi Road Resource and Recovery Centre and made into mulch. Find out more on Council's garden waste bin service.
