Council provides a fortnightly recycling collection service to Noosa residents and commercial customers. If you require a second recycling bin, please contact council's customer service centre.
Recycling in Noosa has expanded. You can now recycle plastics numbered from 1-6 and silver lined UHT cartons.
Download the Handy A-Z Guide to Recycling [310KB] for more information.
E-waste such as computers, laptops, mobile phones, TVs, monitors, and AV equipment can now be dropped off at Council's Eumundi Road Resource and Recovery Centre (tip) for free and recycled. Please do not place e-waste in the recycling (yellow lid) bin.
Register your interest in a new 360 Litre recycle bin (standard bin size is 240 Litre) and/or a 360 Litre garden waste recycling bin service by downloading and completing the 360L Recycling Bin service form and/or the 360L Garden Waste Recycling Bin form and then sending in to council.
These bins will be delivered before the new garden waste recycling service commences in September, 2017. Contact Council's Customer Service on 5329 6500. See our new garden waste recycling bin service page for more information.
- Fit more in your bin by flattening boxes.
- Remove lids and squash plastic bottles. Lids are recyclable.
- Do not put recyclables in plastic bags.
- Place items loose in the bin — it saves space too

Recyclable bin collection guidelines
Bins should be placed within 1 metre of the road kerb and 1 metre from other bins and objects with the handles facing towards the property. Put bins out before 6am on collection day, or the night before. Bins must not block footpaths or driveways. Bins should be placed clear of parked cars, trees and poles. Only waste placed inside the bins will be collected.
