Council offers a number of convenient ways to pay your rates.
You can now pay your rates online via our Rates Payment system. Use the Reference Number from your rates notice to make this transaction.
You can also make part payments. Just follow the prompts.
A credit card surcharge of 0.50% applies to these payments.Council accepts both MasterCard and Visa.
Credit card by phone
Phone 1300 103 614 and follow the prompts. You will need the Billpay code and your reference number. Please refer to your rates notice under 'Payment Options'.

BPAY is a national bill payment service that allows customers to pay bills to billers via telephone or internet banking. Call or log on to your participating financial institution to make a payment from your nominated account. Please quote the BPay details shown on your rates notice payment slip. Please note that you can longer BPay from your credit card.
You can make an arrangement to pay your current rates by instalments by:
Terms and conditions apply to all arrangements. The early payment discount is not available if you choose to pay by instalments.
Note: If your residential or postal address is out of date, please first complete the change of address online form.
Once you have made an arrangement with council, you may pay your rates by direct debit instalments.
Direct debit is an authorisation that you give to the council to take money from your bank account at certain times to:
- pay money off your overdue rates,
- prepay your rates, or
- pay rates in full by the due date.
Please note that you cannot direct debit from your credit card.
To set up a new arrangement or to make changes to an existing arrangement, complete the direct debit form [222KB] and:
- email completed form to firstname.lastname@example.org,
- lodge it at our office located at 9 Pelican Street, Tewantin,
- or post it to Noosa Council at PO Box 141, Tewantin, Qld 4565.

Australia Post offices
You can make a payment by cash, cheque or from your nominated saving account at any post office.
Present your rate notice payment at council's customer service counter at 9 Pelican Street, Tewantin between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
You can make a payment by cash, cheque, debit or credit card. A credit card surcharge of 0.50% applies to all credit card payment made at Council's office.
If you are experiencing financial difficulties and cannot pay your notice in full by the due date, please telephone council on (07) 5329 6500 to avoid recovery action.
