The new Noosa Plan is the draft planning scheme that will replace the current Noosa Plan 2006.
The Draft was released earlier this year and Council received nearly 1000 submissions on the draft Noosa Plan. Thank you to all of you who contributed so far to this process. All submissions have been reviewed and many have resulted in proposed changes to the Plan, we are now consulting on the changes that are considered significant and warrant further consultation and input from the community and stakeholders.
Importantly, changes impacting the Business Community are mainly in two areas:
Short term accommodation
There ahev been some change to the proposals regarding short term accommodation in teh new Noosa Plan, including the introduction of a local law. Read the Media Release and view this video of Tony Wellington explaining some of the significant changes to short stay accommodation.
Changes in Centres and Industrial Zones
The New Noosa Plan strives to be a catalyst to further diversify the local economy thorugh its flexible approach to industrial areas. Changes have been made to the draft plan in order to accommodate the different and contemporary nature of business and enterprise. Read more in the media release and the Fact Sheets below.
Further information and additional Fact Sheets on all significant changes as a response to submissions to the first round on consultation can be found at Your Say Noosa.
