The Noosa region has many outdoor venues where you can hold an event.
Council adopted the Noosa Events Policy in July 2019, following community consultation. This policy applies to events proposed or held on Council controlled land that require a permit under Council's Local Laws. The Policy aims to provide clarity around the staging of events on community-owned land.
The Noosa River Foreshore is one of the most valued natural assets in Noosa Shire. Council adopted the Noosaville Foreshore Land Use Master Plan in May 2018 with the aim of protecting the integrity of the foreshore by carefully considering the balance between recreational use and commercial activities, events, markets and the like. Council's vision for the foreshore is that its natural beauty is retained and use of the area ensures it can be enjoyed by future generations.
If you wish to hold an event in a park, on a beach or road, you will need a permit from Council:
If you are planning an event for the Noosa region, please first contact Council's customer service centre before you complete the event application form. This applies to both new and recurring events.
