Subsequently, the sector has been identified as one of eight priority industries that will assist to diversify the local economy.

With its proximity to Brisbane and a growing Sunshine Coast population; airport expansion; educated population and skilled workforce with a strong focus on education and training, and an enviable coastal lifestyle and strong destination brand; Noosa is better placed than many other regions to attract investment.

Noosa Education and Training Alliance

The Noosa Education and Training Alliance is an industry-driven collaboration of education and training providers charged with developing the knowledge and skills of the greater Noosa regions future workforce.  The purpose of the Noosa Education and Training Alliance is to strengthen and promote education and training pathways and deliver tangible outcomes that benefit sector stakeholders, business and industry and the community.


A Noosa Education Alliance will strengthen and promote education and training pathways and deliver tangible outcomes that benefit the industry and its stakeholders.


This alliance is industry-driven and provides an opportunity for a holistic, collective approach to:

  • Marketing, promotion and research;
  • Increasing the number of students participating in and graduating from post-secondary options available locally;
  • Articulating the range of quality choices and outcomes related to further study and the diverse career opportunities available locally;
  • Expanding the education and training offer, including export offerings;
  • Growing employment in the education and training sector;
  • Building collaborations and connections within the education and training sector and across priority industry sectors
