Your input and assistance is sought in this online survey.

Noosa Council and Noosa Education & Training Alliance (NETA) are working together to conduct a study to explore the feasibility of establishing a Future Skills Learning Hub.  The aim is to assist planning to meet current and future skills requirements and increase and diversify local job opportunities within the Noosa Shire.  A key part of this study is to understand the perspectives of local business, parents/carers/ students, school leaders and educators via a survey.

The global Covid-19 pandemic has had a substantial impact on the education and training landscape and will have far reaching effects on the way education and training is delivered into the future.   The opportunity to increase access to education and training in the Noosa region through the establishment of a Future Skills Learning Hub enables a positive response to this.  A Future Skills Learning Hub will expand the choice of learning and study opportunities available in Noosa and help to prepare students for their jobs of the future.

The Future Skills Learning Hub could deliver a collaborative leading-class education and skills training facility and provide a progressive community cornerstone, competitively future-proofing local industry and provide locally grown employment.

The initial focus is to gain a better understanding of education and training requirements to ensure students are ‘future job ready’ and local businesses can maximise their growth opportunities.  This will also assist us to diversify our local economy to ensure business and employment opportunities evolve to be high-value, resilient, environmentally sustainable, and less reliant on tourism.

By completing this Survey, you can help with planning to meet current and future skills needs and increase and diversify local job opportunities within the Noosa Shire.

We are seeking to hear from people in the following sectors in particular:

  • Business and industry
  • Parents/carers
