Direct business development support and advice is available for Noosa businesses through the Sunshine Coast Area Consultative Committee, the Department of State Development, Trade and Innovation and Commerce Queensland.
Small Business Field Officers
Kay Strong and Anthony Goddard are the Small Business Field Officers (SBFO) for the Sunshine Coast and Hinterland. As team members of the Sunshine Coast Area Consultative Committee they are excited to iimplement the Small Business Field Officers Program, to assist you, the small, micro and home based business operators of our region.
The primary objective of the program and hence Kay and Anthony's role is to foster the growth of small businesses by improving the capacity of small business owner/managers to access information and assistance on:
- programs and services offered by the Australian government.
- providing local "on the ground" general advice about business assistance.
- accessing information and advice on Commonwealth and State services and information.
- relevant local small business issues such as regulatory requirements.
- drought assistance, business operations and Government grants and loans.
Services are available to small, micro and home based businesses "in the field" in the Small Business Field Officers can come to you and offer assistance when and where it suits you. Services can be accessed face to face, or through networking and group activities like seminars and workshops.
Kay and Anthony can also provide feedback to the relevant Australian Government departments on issues affecting small and micro businesses for our region.
Kay and Anthony has been busy in supporting networks and strengthening relationships among local organisations such as chambers of commerce, industry groups and fellow advisory services.
